We are so excited to announce that Pond Cove School has received a Let’s Go! 5210 Gold Award for the 2019-2020 school year! We were recognized for the following areas of strength in implementing Let’s Go! 5-2-1-0:
Offering healthy food selections and limiting unhealthy foods at staff gatherings
Partnerships with numerous community, state and national organizations that promote healthy behaviors
Staff-initiated and supported wellness activities
MEABT (health insurance sponsored) wellness programs offered district-wide to all staff
All K-4 students participate in sequential health and wellness lessons that build upon the 5-2-1-0 message
Promoting drinking water throughout the day
Rewards for student effort and achievement include physical activity
Educational screen time is purposeful and balanced within the school day
