One of the silver linings that many have discovered in these Covid-19 times is the gift of time- or perhaps reorganized time- that the remote learning and working experience has provided. CEHS Junior Spencer Di Palma is one of those who’s making the best of it. As a participant in the Student Driven Learning program with a focus on music, Spencer has been working all year practicing his singing, electric guitar and bass, writing songs, and attempting to assemble a band. In the pre-Covid days Spencer was making great use of his SDL gift of time. Since being at home for the past 2 months he’s kicked into high gear learning to record songs using his phone and garage band and publishing those songs on his new soundcloud page. And if recording all the tracks of multiple songs on a phone wasn’t impressive enough, Spencer recently filmed and edited his first official music video using that same device. A pretty good use of time for a self taught musician and filmmaker working at home during the quarantine.
