On Wednesday evening, February 7, families from the Cape community came together with members of the technology and counseling department for a Parenting in the Screen Age book study.
Parents had in depth discussions about the challenges that they were facing and talked through possible approaches based on the book. They shared that the book and conversations with other parents caused shifts in their perspective about approaches to technology use with their children. They also found comfort in the fact that other families are facing many of the same challenges.
Many thanks to all the parents who registered and those who were able to attend! Big thanks also to the parent associations from all three schools for funding the books.
Next up: Please join us on April 10, 2024 from 5:30-6:30 in the CEMS library as a whole family to create a technology plan or contract.
