Cape Elizabeth High School was selected as one of three Outstanding Chapters of the Year from the Maine delegation at the Best Buddies International Leadership Conference held in Bloomington, Indiana (July 19-21, 2024).
CEHS Chapter President Lyla Whitney attended the conference and accepted an award from Best Buddies founder, Anthony Kennedy Shriver.
Founded in 2019, Cape Elizabeth High School’s friendship chapter is one of the longer standing programs in Maine. There are approximately 50 students actively participating and committing to creating a more inclusive school community each year. CEHS educator Kristen Tevanian serves as the chapter's advisor.
