The South Portland/Cape Elizabeth Community Chamber of Commerce, through its Community Giving Fund, seeks to contribute to initiatives and projects that will enrich our community and create a vibrant local economy. On Thursday March 12, 2020 the full board approved several grant requests that impact CEHS and other local students.
New Awards Are:
CEHS Mock Trial Team- $500 to support students traveling to the Mock Trial Nationals in Indiana.
SPHS Career Fair- $250 to support ingredients for the presenter breakfast at the 10th annual Career fair that CEHS 10th grade students attend.
SafeBAE Consent Summit- $1000.00 to support the 2nd annual student summit at SMCC that is attended by high school students from area high schools.
Grants awarded earlier this year:
CEHS SAAFE (Sexual Assault Awareness for Everyone)- $500 to support this biennial event for CEHS Juniors and Seniors.
Knightville StreetFest- $250 to support face painting at the annual Knightville Street Festival to be held in the Knightville neighborhood of South Portland inJune 2020.
