The Cape Elizabeth School Department has been selected as the recipient of the 2020 Dale Huff Outstanding Program Award. The organization was created by founder, Scotty Huff, after his late father, Dale F. Huff, who was a highly respected Maine music educator who believed in a comprehensive K-12 approach to music and performing arts education. The Outstanding Program Award celebrates those school systems that demonstrate their understanding of the vast importance of music and arts education, and their commitment to providing that valuable instruction across all age groups. Cape Elizabeth does this in spades, not just with performance ensembles, but with classroom instruction as well. The award comes with a plaque and a donation to the Music Department. Congratulations to the staff! It is an honor to be recognized, and is a testament to the dedication and hard work put forth from the entire music department, and the community that supports a strong art education program!
