The Cape Elizabeth School Department extends its sincere gratitude to the Cape Elizabeth Education Foundation (CEEF) for its continued support of our students, staff, and schools in funding 11 initiatives during the 2025-2026 school year.
Middle School: STEM, Outdoors, & Well-Being
Project IGNITE: A mobile makerspace traveling between classrooms with 3D printers and manufacturing tools.
Math Teams: Funding for competitive math leagues across grades 6–8.
Outdoor Learning: Financial subsidies for the traditional 6th-grade Chewonki trip and advanced water testing equipment for environmental stewardship.
Student Wellness: An immersive Seventh Grade Human Project Retreat building healthy relationship skills.
High School: Arts, Technology, & Humanities
Creative Arts: High-fidelity, large-format printers alongside a Risograph duplicator for cross-curricular zine collaborations.
Fashion & 3D Design: Launching a course equipped with 15 professional sewing machines and tools focusing on sustainability.
Experiential Humanities: Guest author visits in English classes and an AP U.S. History field trip to Boston's Freedom Trail.
Pond Cove Elementary School: Cultural, Economic, & Experiential
Pond Cove Elementary Sugaring Co: Students learned about the Wabanaki People & Nation's history with maple sugaring alongside the modern agricultural and economic impact of the industry in Maine. Students actively participated in every step of production, including tree identification, tapping, boiling, and finishing the syrup.
