On Friday December 9 a group of Club Unify members attended the Unified Champion Schools Inclusion Summit. They participated in activities that focused on leadership, inclusion in schools and community and widening the scope of inclusion beyond athletics. The group came back with ideas of how to reach out and expand school and community opportunities.

Club Unify is a group of high school students with varying abilities and interests who participate in community, athletic and social activities. The club is dedicated to promoting social inclusion while fostering meaningful relationships. Members of the club compete in the MPA Unified Sports Basketball league. Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding.The team have regular practices and compete with other Unified teams in the state. Club Unify members also meet in social and community activities throughout the year.
